In Yishi's paintings, she focuses on the moment when humans encounter animals, using this scene to deeply contemplate life, existence, and power. She contrasts the tiny and fragile human figures with the vast and powerful presence of animals. She holds deep reverence for the spirit and strength of animals, yearning to approach them, feel their presence, and hopes to find tranquillity under their protection.
Animals play the role of "messengers" in her works, symbolizing sacred commitments. Through each animal, viewers can not only distinguish them but also discern themselves.
