Artistellar is pleased to present 'Summer Juice,' an online group exhibition showcasing five international artists; Jordin Alanis, Amber Larks, Maria Camila Capeda, Joris Bochman, and Maddie Yuille. The show revolves around the theme and celebration of summer through these artists' eyes and their ambiguous representations. We also bring together these artists as new talent discoveries in an effort to support our mission of bringing the best cutting-edge artists.
Amber Larks: Amber Larks is an oil painter based in Los Angeles. Her current work focuses on the relationships between science, the natural world, the human condition, and the metaphysical realm. She works to create pieces that encourage reflection on possibilities beyond our comprehension.
Maria Camila Cepeda: Maria Camila Cepeda is a Colombian multi-disciplinary artist based in the UK. Her works around her Latin American identity using craft, technology, and fiction to explore present issues and imagined futures.
Joris Bochman: Joris Bochman was born in the Netherlands but currently lives between Brussels and Sevilla. He draws inspiration from everyday trivialities and popular culture. His vibrant, figurative works depict slice-of-life situations, exploring themes linked to human behaviour, often supplemented with surreal elements and a fair dose of humour.
Jordin Alanis: Jordin Alanis is a New York-based painter. In her artistic practice as a professional artist, Jordin creates large-scale paintings that express the passage of time, the blurred lines between everyday scenes and our surroundings, and the layered presence of figures sourced from historical and personal experiences. In collage-like formations, she gathers and depicts information from the past, present and future through colour, line, and space.
Maddie Yuille: Maddie Yuille is a visual artist based in London. Her practice focuses on painting to explore a sensory depiction of human embodiment. She is interested in the ancient connection between women and nature and how the medium of paint can be used to communicate a sense of experiential and emotional embodiment.
