Artwork description
Site Fu captures alive presences in an oneiric nature. The fragments of overlapping shadows and reflections create narrative layers, which provoke a certain ambiguity in our perception of time, depriving the scene of any logical coherence. His subjects appear on the surface of the canvas without really belonging to it. The resulting obscure stories allow the audience to plunge themselves between the suggested organic forms and inquire about their relationships and narratives to which they could belong.

Bio:
Born in 1984 in China, Fu Site lives and works in Paris. Having graduated from Tsinghua University (Beijing) in 2006, from École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts du Nord Pas de Calais in 2014, Fu has won numerous prizes and awards , including the first Canson Prize (2013). He has been represented by Galerie Paris-Beijing since 2014. Game of the creatures
“About my recent works, the core of my image is the connection between things. This series of works
presents the complex expressions of these connections. Nature, figures, creatures or fictional forms meet each other in the painting. Coexistence, game and anti-hierarchy are the key words of these works. I am also interested in how the concepts of pleasure, insidiousness, desire, and sacredness are connected with visual experience. I hope they retain a universal readability in terms of visual perception, but at the same time remain abstract. They can have no precise significance and meanwhile be open to all meanings.”
