Tang Shuo was born in Guilin, China. He currently lives and works in the UK. He moved to the UK in 2020 after the global pandemic had started. During this period, he started to paint self-portraits to get along with himself and deal with his lonely state. He often incorporates things from his memories, such as; places he has been to, trees from his hometown, his cat, or a snake he saw when walking at night.
